Crew Completes Major Cleanup Job at Station
Saturday, July 17, 2010
-
On the evening of Saturday July 17, 2010 around 1900hrs three or four members decided to take on the much needed job of cleaning the station's coffee room from top to bottom. This room obtained its name from being the home of where the "older" members drank coffee for years and still do to this day every morning. In addition the coffee room is where members eat meals when eating at the station. Other then daily cleaning of the floor, counter tops, and sink, it has been years since this room has received a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. The need for this cleaning was extra bad because it had not been scrubbed since smoking was no longer allowed in the room. The group began by emptying out the cabinets and clearing off the counter tops. The group of three or four quickly grew to eight or nine members that scrubbed the room from top to bottom (walls, floor, windows, and appliances). The crew completed this job in about 4 hours. Thank you to all that helped out for your hard work and more importantly for taking pride in your fire station!
