Sunday, April 25, 2010 19:30 - Sunday evening on 4/25/10 at 19:30hrs stations 11 & 13 along with New Castle County Medic 4B were dispatched to Interstate 495NB in the area of Edgemoor Road for the report of an accident with a rollover. While enroute fireboard advised units that additional calls reported a possible ejection. Units arrived confirming rollover, ejection, and multiple patients trapped. Chief Finocchiaro (11-8) had command and Deputy Chief Dimauro (Rescue 11 Officer) oversaw operations. Additional resources were requested to assist with traffic control and patient transport in addition to additional ALS units from New Castle County. Rescue crews extricated a total of 4 patients. A total of 5 patients (2 adults and 3 children) were transported with ALS onboard to the trauma center. Command placed the situation under control at 20:02hrs and units cleared the scene at 20:06hrs.
