On 6/26/10 at 16:42hrs stations 11, 13, 25 were dispatched to a house fire at 36 Talley Court in Brandywine Farms. Engine 11-3 under the command of Deputy 11 (Dimauro Jr.) and Chief 11-8 (Finocchiaro) were enroute at 16:45hrs and were advised by New Castle County Fireboard that they had received multiple calls reporting smoke and fire from the second floor rear of the house. Fireboard also advised that neighbors reported occupants not to be home at the time. Fireboard upgraded the assignment to a working alarm adding Ladder 17, Engine 22, RIT 20, and NCC Medics. Engine 11-3 arrived at 16:48hrs with a 2 story single family dwelling with heavy smoke showing passing command to Chief 11-8 upon his arrival. Engine 11-3's crew took the hydrant at the corner, advanced one 1 3/4" to the door, and forced the front door. Chief 11-8 arrived and assumed Brandywine Command and Deputy 11 (Dimauro Jr.) had Interior Command. 11-3's crew advanced the line to the second floor Charlie Side and extinguished the bedroom fire. Interior Command reported to Brandywine Command that the bulk of the fire was knocked at the first 10 minute mark. Additional crews checked for extension with negative findings. Brandywine Command placed the fire under control at 17:20hrs with units working. 1 firefighter was transported to WER for dehydration. All units were clear at 18:19hrs.  Thank you to Engine 23-2 for covering station 11.
